# Create activities and instructors

## Create an activity

1. Open **Activities**.
2. Select **Add activity**.
3. Enter the activity name and optional description.
4. Add public information that may be shown to attendees.
5. Add internal notes for staff if needed.
6. Optionally choose an instructor.
7. Keep the activity active and save it.

An activity is reusable. Its date, time, area, price and attendance rules are set when you create a schedule.

## Add an instructor

1. Open **Activities**, then **Instructors**.
2. Select **Add instructor**.
3. Add the instructor's name, role, biography, contact information or profile photo as appropriate.
4. Save the profile, then select it when creating or editing an activity.

Instructor profiles are optional. Archive a profile when it should no longer be offered for new activities; delete it only when its history is no longer needed.
