# Create and pair a station

## Create a station

1. Open **Check-in**.
2. Select **Add station**.
3. Enter a recognisable name, such as `Activity Room iPad`.
4. Assign the station to the correct site and area.
5. Keep the station active and save it.

A station can only check people into sessions assigned to its area.

## Pair a tablet or computer

1. On the station card, select **Pair device** or **New setup key**.
2. Keep the displayed setup URL and one-time key available.
3. On the station device, open a web browser and visit the full setup URL shown by Memberply.
4. Enter a device name and the one-time key.
5. Submit the form to connect the device.

The key stops working as soon as a device connects. Generate a new key to pair another device.

Use **Devices** on the station card to rename or disconnect trusted devices. A disconnected device needs a new setup key before it can reconnect.
